Tue Sep 10, 2013 8:52 pm by Positivevibe

I just moved from Chennai, I am looking for admission for my 6 year old kid.
After my extensive search, understand that I can place my kid only in international school, as both of us are holding only professional visa.

Can someone suggest me, if there is any private or tamil school which will admit foreign national?

Do you send your kids to private tuition after school or do you teach them yourselves? What are the pros and cons of sending kids to private tuition after school? Is it an unnecessary burden for the kids or is it seen as much needed assistance for the kids in terms of education?

Now the website is empty.

Private School

Tue Sep 09, 2008 11:41 pm by VJeyaa

Can someone from the education line give me some pointers about private schooling? I have been thinking about this recently as my daughter has come of enrollment age to the primary school. My current considerations are:

1. Sekolah Sri Murni
2. Sekolah Sri Chempaka
3. Convent Bukit Nenas (my personal preference)

We are also thinking of registering to a nearby Govt school, as a "just in …

This is a great topic. This fenomena is too common nowadays.
Maids are replacing parents whereby parents abandon their responsibilty.

Having a maid is not wrong but relinquishing our duties as parents is wrong. Maids are to help us to reduce our work load at home not to take over our roles as parents.

Unfortunately, some parents rely on the maids to run their family including taking care of their children 24/7. These children grow up deprived of love and attention from their parents. These children are usually emotionally and mentally scarred.

wow....soul, you sound really pissed off ,man.

well...you are right about the problematic children and young teenagers lately. They are involved in many negative activities. These young generations are actually lack of solid foundation which should be erected by their parents. Being materialistic is actually one of the reason too. These parents usually out there making money for their children without realising that money not going to mould their children.

Parents should be there to guide our children and shower them with love.

whoaaaaaa...........come on soul......something irked you, huh?

Parents who forgot or refused to take their responsibility will actually pay for it.They'll lost their children's love to a maid. As these children grow up,they would not remember the best moments in their life with their parents but just loneliness. So, can they love their ageing parents at that time? Nay.......they'll probably chuck their sickly parents in a nursing home or old folk home using the money the same parennts earned so hard. Isn't that a great punishment? Shocked

I'm a parent myself and i have a maid too. But my kids are not deprived of love but their life is full of love and care. Both of us make sure of that. Anyway we're not party animals who prowl the pubs evry single day. Cool

Sometimes, the children are better off without the mean and fierce parents around them.
Emotionless parents can do lots of cruelty to their own children.
